Why Internet Thinking?

Internet Thinking started life as its own client. Through publishing Australia's leading eJournal of politics and current affairs On Line Opinion and building it from nothing to an audience of over 100,000 unique browsers each month we learnt what makes websites work. We decided there must be a market for our expertise.

We also learnt that most website developers don't know what makes a good website because they only build them - they don't run them as well.

Internet Thinking offers a full range of services:

  • Web site design and development
  • Graphic Design
  • Copywriting, including producing and distributing email newsletters
  • eCommerce
  • Search Engine Optimisation
  • Advice and training (including auditing your existing website and advice on social marketing trends like Facebook and Twitter)

We have a reputation for being innovative and insightful, balancing Field of Dreams (build it and they will come) optimism with a clear understanding of business objectives and budget and resource realities.

Our philosophy is simple. A website is a way of interacting with your customers and there are many ways of doing this using the Internet. Sometimes the best web strategy won't even use your own website, it will use someone else's. We are interested in getting results and will advise you to use whatever web technologies will help. And if we can't help we will say so as well.

Many of our sites are built using open source technologies such as Joomla and WordPress. We like them because they give the client the power to add and edit content. We also have our own proprietary software called CAMS (Content Aggregation and Management System). Some of our politician clients have a specific version of it called POL (Politicians OnLine). But if your business requires a custom-built site with lots of flash and special effects, we will do that too.

Clients who have worked with us to develop their online strategy include businesses, community organisations and politicians. You can read about the projects we've worked on here.
